Bridge to the Future

Because of what is taking place through Johns Creek Presbyterian Church, God continues to bless us with new members—more than 300 adults, youth and children in the last four years—as well as new opportunities for ministry and mission. To address this, our church recently completed a "Bridge to the Future" capital campaign and is moving forward with the construction of a $3.2 million multi-purpose facility.

Our new multi-purpose facility is being designed to serve our members, support our community, and address the growing number of opportunities and challenges that God is bringing to us. The components will include:

A “Great Hall” that will allow JCPC to support banquets, concerts, theatre performances and lite recreation. While the current chapel will always be used for worship services and sacred events, the Great Hall may also serve as a bridge space that can accommodate up to 400 guests for worship until a bigger sanctuary can be built as part of a future building project.

This Great Hall will be supported by a large, scalable kitchen designed to support a variety food service needs through plug-in equipment options and flexible (and portable) serving configurations.

An atrium-type lobby area for welcoming guests and encouraging fellowship. This space would also serve as a connector to the narthex of a future sanctuary that would be part of our next building project. That project would also include a music center to support our choirs and our Academy of Fine Arts, as well as space for JCPC administrative offices and a larger counseling center.

Additional youth and adult meeting rooms, varying in size and with options for a range of "set-ups" to accommodate classes, presentations, luncheons, and small group discussions.

Additional storage space for equipment, supplies and furnishings that will be needed to support all of the activities and events taking place within the new facility.

The availability of the new building will allow us to convert our current Friendship Hall into a dedicated youth center for learning, recreation and dining. The contemporary design will include a "coffee house" area as well as configurable spaces that can be used for small group discussions, games, performances and group projects.

God continues to bless us here at Johns Creek Presbyterian Church with new members and new opportunities. In response to this, we believe He is calling each of us to step out in faith and, with His help, realize this important vision!
