The JCPC Academy of Fine Arts offers a range of programming to address a variety of interests and age groups. Individual music lessons are offered by experienced Academy faculty members who enjoy interacting with young musicians interested in brass, piano/organ, strings, voice, and woodwinds. These individual lessons are complemented through classes and camps offered through partnerships with the Johns Creek Arts Center and Creative Movement and Dance.
These offerings provide opportunities for children age 3 and up to explore and enjoy their artistic talents in a safe, nurturing environment staffed by professionals who enjoy working with young people.
Art classes and camps are offered in conjunction with the Johns Creek Arts Center. The Arts Center is a member of the Arts Alliance at Johns Creek, a nonprofit partnership of individual artists, arts organizations, educational institutions and other cultural entities whose mission is to promote the visual, literary and performing arts in order to enhance the quality of life within the greater Johns Creek Area.
Dance classes are available through the Academy of Fine Arts for children ages 3-and-up. The classes are developed and delivered by faculty members from Creative Movement and Dance, the premier on-site dance instruction company in the Southeast. Forty-five-minute classes in pre-ballet and tap-ballet are available throughout the school year and are limited to less than 15 participants-per-class.
Johann Sebastian Bach once said that “the aim and final end of all music should be none other than the glory of God and the refreshment of the soul.” What better reason to make music the centerpiece of the programming offered through our Academy of Fine Arts? Our world-class faculty brings nearly 300 years of experience to bear on individual instruction in brass, piano/organ, strings, voice, and woodwinds.
