Troop 2000 is run for the Scouts... by the Scouts. They plan all meetings and activities with adult leadership guidance. Significant Accomplishments of Boy Scout Troop 2000
Eagle Projects - Over $24,000 in capital improvements for JCPC since 2005… in addition to over 2,500 volunteer service hours (over $18,000 value at minimum wage). Troop 2000 has produced a total of 136 Eagle Scouts (10 in 2012)
Community Service - Over 400 hours logged in 2012, Over 2,000 items collected during Scouting for Food, Mulch spreading and other projects for JCPC.
U.S. Military Academies - Six Eagle Scouts from Troop 2000 have attended
Awards - BSA Quality Unit (All years since inception), Milton District Honor Unit (Highest points), One Troop 2000 Scout earned the Adams Award-Bronze for Eagle Project conducted in 2012.
Activities - 73 Rank Advancements, 230 Merit Badges Earned, 12 Camping Trips, 809 Camping nights, Week-long summer camp, ski trip, backpacking, caving, canoeing, and other high-adventure trips in 2012.
Importantly, over 50 registered adults serve Troop 2000. The value they place on the Scouting experience forall boys, not just their own, is reflected in many serving well beyond the time their son is an active Scout.
